All I want is a nav flasher
If all you want is a navigation lights flasher, it’s much simpler. Just use the 555 chip, which has a single timing circuit. Another advantage of using the 555 is that it‘s shorter, only 8 pins instead of 14. I leave it up to you to figure it out, but it shouldn’t be difficult … oh, OK, I’ll make it real easy for you. I’ve actually made the schematic for you and I’ve designed the board in SketchUp, so you can rotate it in 3D and really zoom in to see just how the board is wired.
